RUM Enablement

Overview

Real User Monitoring (RUM) is disabled by default. Enabling it requires changes to your Kloudfuse custom-values.yaml file — turning on the RUM ingester, exposing a public ingest endpoint, registering the RUM Kafka topics, and adding frontend-log parsing rules — plus, optionally, a storage backend for session replay recordings.

See RUM Instructions for the required configuration, and RUM Session Replay Storage: AWS S3, RUM Session Replay Storage: Azure Blob, or RUM Session Replay Storage: Google GCS if you also want session replay storage.

Once RUM is enabled on the cluster, register your frontend application — see RUM Applications — and instrument it with the Kloudfuse RUM SDK — see RUM Setup.
