Alert rules

  1. To use the Alerts Rules interface, click the Alerts menu on the top navigation bar.

    Alternatively, click the Alerts tab, and select Alert Rules sub-menu.

  2. The Alerts report appears.

Using the Alerts report

The Alerts report has the following information and affordances:

  1. Filters help you to determine what alerts require your immediate attention.

  2. Use Search to find an alert by name.

  3. Click create new alert (Create New Alert) to begin building a new alert, by defining its rule; see Create new alert.

  4. Selectors for bulk actions, such as Delete.

  5. List of all alerts that match the filters and search criteria.

  6. State: ok, alerting, error, paused, or pending.

    Controlled by the filter selection.

  7. Name of the alert

  8. Type of alert: Metrics, Events, Logs, APM, SLO, or RUM.

  9. Folder that contains the alert.

  10. Tags from custom labels and SLO alerts

  11. Updated is the relative time after most recent update of the alert.

  12. Hover over one of the alerts in the list so the action menu appears, and select one of the following actions:

  13. Change the number of results per page.

  14. Navigate across pages of lengthy reports.

Mute an alert

  1. Hover over one of the alerts in the list, so the action menu appears.

  2. Click the Mute (mute) icon to Mute the alert.

  3. A Quick Ranges drop-down appears.

  4. Click to select the duration of the muting action: Next 5 minutes through Next 7 Days

Copy an alert

  1. Hover over one of the alerts in the list, so the action menu appears.

  2. Click the copy (Copy) icon to create a new alert that duplicates this alert.

  3. Kloudfuse opens a Create Alert interface, with information copied from the original alert.

  4. Adjust details of the alert as necessary; see Create Alerts.

  5. Click Create Rule (Create Rule) to save the new alert.

Edit the alert

  1. Hover over one of the alerts in the list, so the action menu appears.

  2. Click the Edit (edit) icon to change the definition of the alert.

  3. Kloudfuse opens an Edit Alert interface.

  4. Adjust details of the alert as necessary.

  5. Click Create Rule (Create Rule) to save the new alert.

Delete alert

  1. Hover over one of the alerts in the list, so the action menu appears.

  2. Click the Delete (Delete) icon to delete the alert.

  3. Kloudfuse opens a Delete Alert confirmation dialog.

  4. Click Delete (Delete button) to confirm deletion, or Cancel (Cancel button) to keep the alert.

Change the number of displayed results

  1. Specify the number of results you can see on each page.

Navigate pages

  1. Navigate across pages by clicking individual page numbers, or forward (forward) and backward (backward) arrows.
