Alert rules

To use the Alerts Rules interface, click the Alerts menu on the top navigation bar.
Alternatively, click the Alerts tab, and select Alert Rules sub-menu.

The Alerts report appears.
Using the Alerts report
The Alerts report has the following information and affordances:

Filters help you to determine what alerts require your immediate attention.

Use Search to find an alert by name.

Click
(Create New Alert) to begin building a new alert, by defining its rule; see Create new alert.

Selectors for bulk actions, such as Delete.
-
List of all alerts that match the filters and search criteria.
-
State: ok, alerting, error, paused, or pending.
Controlled by the filter selection.

Name of the alert
-
Type of alert: Metrics, Events, Logs, APM, SLO, or RUM.

Folder that contains the alert.
-
Tags from custom labels and SLO alerts
-
Updated is the relative time after most recent update of the alert.

Hover over one of the alerts in the list so the action menu appears, and select one of the following actions:

Change the number of results per page.

Navigate across pages of lengthy reports.
Mute an alert

Hover over one of the alerts in the list, so the action menu appears.

Click the
(mute) icon to Mute the alert.

A Quick Ranges drop-down appears.

Click to select the duration of the muting action: Next 5 minutes through Next 7 Days
Copy an alert

Hover over one of the alerts in the list, so the action menu appears.

Click the
(Copy) icon to create a new alert that duplicates this alert.

Kloudfuse opens a Create Alert interface, with information copied from the original alert.

Adjust details of the alert as necessary; see Create Alerts.

Click
(Create Rule) to save the new alert.
Edit the alert

Hover over one of the alerts in the list, so the action menu appears.

Click the
(edit) icon to change the definition of the alert.

Kloudfuse opens an Edit Alert interface.

Adjust details of the alert as necessary.

Click
(Create Rule) to save the new alert.
