Create SLOs

Kloudfuse has two approaches for creating an SLO: from the Service page, pulling the pertinent service details into the SLO definition, and from the SLO Rules page.

Individual Service Page

At the top of the specific Service page is in an option to create a new SLO.

  1. Click the SLO button.

  2. In the drop-down, select the type of SLO.

    Select SLO type
    Choose an SLO Type
    Availability

    An availability SLO uses error rate as an SLI.

    Latency

    A latency SLO uses request latency as an SLI.

  3. Kloudfuse opens the Create SLO page that already displays both the Detection Method (Step 1) and the monitored Service.

  4. Proceed to specify the SLO, starting with Step 3.

SLO Rules Page

At the top of the specific Alerts >> SLO Rules page is in an option to create a new SLO.

  1. Select the Alerts tab, and then the SLO Rules option in the drop-down menu.

  2. In the SLO interface, click Create New SLO (Create New SLO).

  3. The Create SLO interface appears.

  4. Proceed to specify the SLO.
